00About

Intelligence is an object of study and engineering.

NOVARC is a research and technology company developing technologies that improve how humans think, learn, and solve problems. We operate at the intersection of artificial intelligence, cognitive science, and neuroscience — to increase humanity's capacity to discover knowledge that remains unsolved today.

01Philosophy

A cognitive instrument not a replacement.

Intelligence can be studied, modeled, and enhanced through scientific and technological systems. Progress is measured not by output volume, but by improvements in user capability over time.

Current digital systems optimize for speed and convenience, which leads to cognitive outsourcing. NOVARC takes the opposite approach: technology should strengthen cognitive capability through use.

02What we aim for

Six measurable outcomes.

01

Strengthen reasoning ability.

02

Increase learning speed.

03

Improve memory formation.

04

Enhance structured thinking.

05

Enable deeper problem-solving.

06

Increase the rate of original discovery.

03Problems addressed

The gaps we exist to close.

01

Cognitive outsourcing caused by fully automated systems

02

Inefficient learning processes

03

Limited tools for structured reasoning

04

Lack of measurable cognitive performance systems

05

Fragmentation between neuroscience research and real-world tools

06

Absence of technology designed specifically to increase intelligence over time

04Frequently asked

Questions, answered.

Who founded NOVARC, and what motivated its founding?
NOVARC was founded by Pavel Abdulin in Zurich, Switzerland. The company emerged from a straightforward observation: the dominant commercial trajectory in artificial intelligence is toward systems that perform more cognitive work on behalf of users — and the question of what that trajectory does to human reasoning over time is rarely raised seriously. NOVARC was built to address that question directly, and to engineer against it.
How is NOVARC different from other AI companies?
Most artificial intelligence development is oriented toward increasing system capability — producing better outputs, faster, with less user effort required. NOVARC's orientation is the opposite: increasing user capability through technology. The measure of success is not what the system produces, but what the person using it becomes able to do. This distinction shapes every research and product decision the company makes.
What does NOVARC actually build?
NOVARC is organized around six research directions spanning cognitive augmentation software, neurofeedback training systems, non-invasive brain–computer interfaces, computational brain modeling, neural data infrastructure, and neuromodulation technologies. The first product — a cognitive augmentation system — is in active development. Further developments will be shared as they become available.
When will NOVARC's first product be available?
NOVARC's first product is currently in development and will be made available to users in 2026. Details on access, availability, and pricing will be announced ahead of launch.
Is NOVARC a research organization or a commercial company?
Both. NOVARC conducts original research into cognition and intelligence, and builds commercial products grounded in that research. The commercial work funds the research. The research informs the product decisions. The two are not treated as separate activities.
Is NOVARC affiliated with any university or research institution?
NOVARC operates independently. The company's research engages with published work across cognitive science, neuroscience, and artificial intelligence — including from institutions such as MIT, Carnegie Mellon, and ETH Zurich — but operates as an independent research and technology company.
How can I follow NOVARC's progress?
NOVARC shares research findings, developments, and company updates on LinkedIn. Announcements regarding the first product launch will be made through these channels when they are available.
